Dr. Kaliannan Raju

Dr. Kaliannan Raju was born in India where he lived for the first 27 years of his life. He then moved to Canada where he pursued a career in biology, mostly in the field of cancer research, for about 18 years before getting into the Information Technology world. His credentials include a PhD from University of Toronto. He is currently working in Detroit, Michigan. He is very interested in the origin and evolution of life on earth. He believes a complete understanding of the human brain and the nature and meaning of consciousness are the most important challenges facing humanity today. His first book titled 'Slaves to Neurons' reflects these interests.

He is married with two children and is an ardent sports fan.
