Fernando Gaspar

PhD in Management, in 2006, after the MBA and the Economics degree (NovaSBE, Lisboa, 1980s).

Professor of entrepreneurship, innovation and marketing at Portuguese universities, ever since 1986.

After 2012, chaired the NGO "Rede Dināmica XXI (APREDIN)", main activity focused on innovation support strategies in many different sectors (Blue Growth Sector, Digital Transition, Green Transition and others). Writing and running EU funded projects since 2008, namely Interreg, Erasmus+ and Horizon projects.

Responsible for the weekly science communication podcast, called “Economia do Bem-Estar”, run with other Portuguese scholars.

Main research interests are entrepreneurial ecosystems, open innovation strategies, entrepreneurial intentions and strategies to scaleup startups, namely based on the use of data-driven methods in marketing and the marketing strategies of conspiracy theories applied to SMEs.
