Vicky Giannangelo

Frank and Vicky Giannangelo both lived in Denver, Colorado, when they were children. Vicky's family moved to Washington State where she went to high school and graduated from the University of Washington with a double major degree in philosophy and economics. Frank's family moved to Prescott, Arizona where he went to high school, and upon returning from Viet Nam, graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in literature. They met on San Juan Island, Washington, and were married in 1986 and created formal organic gardens on San Juan Island, WA. In 1993, they moved to Sedona, Arizona and spent three years creating patterned organic gardens for a local community. They moved to the high deserts of New Mexico (7200') in 1997, created high desert gardens, joined the Ramah Farmer's Market, and and established an annual garden tour. In 2010 they moved back to San Juan Island, and created Mossy Knoll Garden on Bailer Hill Road. Their gardens are open to the public year around. Visit their website www.avant-gardening.com
