Sharon Smith

Sharon Smith is a single woman. She was born in, and has lived most of her life, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She loves to use poetry to show how beliefs, attitudes, and actions determine whether one experiences greater joy or sadness in life. In 2006, one of her poems was selected to be included in "Timeless Voices" by the International Library of Poetry in 2006. It is titled "Of Love." Her desire to share her ideas with children resulted in her first published children's story, "Speedy the Squirrel." Sharon has been the primary caregiver for her mother (who has dementia) for the past 8 years, which has resulted in limiting her opportunities to leave home and participate socially. Writing gives her the opportunity to express her thoughts with others through social media.
