I live in Ocean Isle Beach,NC and Clemmons,NC with my wife Carol and our old King Charles Spaniel named Freckles.

In my life I have been a tobacco farmer, a printing pressman, an automobile mechanic, a machinist, a safety engineer, a human resources manager, and a training manager. I have been a bible school teacher, a country music DJ, a father, a grandfather, and a great-grandfather. I have three living children, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. I have been a volunteer fireman, a fire chief, a fire services instructor, and a cancer survivor. I am a salt water fisherman, and an aviation enthusiast, and a troubleshooter. I hold a private pilots license (instrument rated). In my varied career and experiences I have learned some valuable life-lessons that I enjoy sharing in my writings.

I began writing All The Jewels In Our Path as a diversion from my cancer. It immediately became a passion and was a blessing to me personally. After it was published my readers asked "What happened next? What did Roy and Eve do then?" In response to their queries, and my own curiosity, I revisited our heroes and shared the next two years of their adventures, and misadventures, in Jewels Two.

It is my sincere desire that my humble writings will bring into my reader's lives some enjoyment, some learning, some laughter and some discernment of the jewels that have been left your path. May God bless and keep you!
