Jason Kyle is a military veteran and author of historical and fantasy fiction. He deployed to Iraq in March 2003 as a Combat Engineer. He later served as a Cavalry Scout and completed two additional deployments to Iraq before retiring from the U.S. Army in 2025.
Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in History. His experiences as a soldier and lifelong fascination with history strongly influence his writing, particularly his depictions of warfare and the ordinary people caught up in the ambitions of kings and nations.
He is the author of Beyond the Wall and The Wolves of Caledonia, the first two novels in his Arthurian trilogy centered on Peredur—the warrior remembered in later legend as Percival. He is also the author of The Apprentice Mage, a young adult fantasy novel set in the world of Reaper Miniatures’ tabletop game Warlord.
Jason currently lives in Idaho with his son and their dog. He continues to write historical and fantasy fiction inspired by the enduring legends of Britain.
