Michael Taylor

Michael Taylor is an author of both non-fiction and fiction novels and has a broad interest in writing across a variety of genres within each classification. He is a lifelong student of American history and government. Although he has been actively writing for many years, he has only recently begun to publish his works. His first non-fiction novel, “And Some Have Greatness Thrust Upon Them”, was published in the fall of 2012. The focus of the novel is upon six individuals whose contributions led directly to the independence of the American colonies but whose names and deeds have nearly been lost to modern history. His second non-fiction novel, “To Secure Essential Liberty”, is a 2013 treatise upon the United States Constitution with a detailed examination of how and why the Constitution was written. The Constitution is broken down into an item-by-item review with commentary on both the historical context and modern interpretation. The novel concludes with a series of essays on the declining state of current day government and proposals for how it can be reversed. His first fiction novel, “Josiah Falls”, published in 2012 is a social time period piece from the 1950’s centering on a small town in southern Mississippi and the events that summer that culminated in arson, murder, and a dramatic courtroom trial. Michael Taylor currently has several more fiction novels in pre-publication scheduled for release in 2013 and 2014 as well as plans for additional non-fiction works.
