Haydn Shaw

Haydn Shaw is the author of Sticking Points: How to Get 5 Generations Working Together in the 12 Places They Come Apart, with a foreword by Stephen M. R. Covey. A nationally recognized expert on generational dynamics in the workplace, he has helped thousands of leaders understand why generational tensions emerge — and how to move through them productively.

Haydn has spent his career helping organizations retain younger employees, strengthen managers, and get five generations working together. He has spoken to more than 150,000 people across 1,500-plus organizations, and the leadership programs he has developed have been attended by more than 250,000 people. As a longtime senior consultant with FranklinCovey, he was one of only four consultants worldwide to receive the Chairman's Award for client days delivered, and he holds the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation.

The Washington Post calls him a "leadership guru," and TIME calls him "an expert on cultural differences at the office." Much of his work focuses on how the rise of Emerging Adulthood — the new life stage between adolescence and settled adulthood — is reshaping retention, leadership, and manager effectiveness.
