Tony Wright (1949 - present) was born and and grew up in McKees Rocks, PA, just north of Pittsburgh, PA. He received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University, and a PhD degree in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics from the University of Minnesota. He had a successful 35-year career as a Senior Scientist and Program Manager at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, TN.
Tony has had a life-long passion for golf. He decided to pursue a "second career" as a Professional Club Fitter in 2006. In 2011, he retired from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and became a full-time Professional Club Fitter. His business is Game Improvement Golf. He is a Golf Club Performance Optimizer, who helps golfers achieve lower scores and their golfing dreams using Club Fitting Knowledge, Tools, and Passion. He has a passion for Short Game Club Fitting, and Game Improvement Golf is the East Tennessee Center for Short Game Fitting and Improvement.
