Laura Poole

Laura Poole was born at the tail end of 1972 on an Air Force base in the US South. A few years later, her family settled in North Carolina, where she grew up, went to school, and ate a lot of pasta. She graduated from the NC School of Science and Mathematics and Duke University. She stuck around North Carolina, but chose to ditch the "get a job" path and be self-employed, which she's done since 1997. Mostly she edits books for university presses and trains other editors, and she's also a trained and certified life coach. She tries her hand at modern quilting in her limited spare time, and enjoys parenting her spitfire daughter. She has a couple of cats, and loves the sound and smell of rain.
