The greatest adventure I ever had was raising my boys.

Crossing Africa the series starts off with “The Adventure Home”.

I love the moments when boys are just stepping into manhood, testing their independence and facing challenges for the first time. These moments are critical in a young man’s development. Crossing Africa "The Adventure Home" highlights these moments in an inspiring "feel good" adventure story.

Crossing Africa “The Adventure Home” puts Thomas and Sky (main characters) in dangerous and thrilling situations as they struggle against natural and man-made challenges. Lessons of faith and trust, bravery and reward, mercy and compassion, are revealed through a series of fast paced encounters as they make their way across Africa.

I have learned that manhood does not simply happen with age. Every boy needs to learn what it takes to be a man. By accepting those responsibilities, he takes his first steps toward manhood. I originally intend this book for young adults but have received a tremendous amount of positive feedback from men and women of all ages.

I am now writing the second book in the Crossing Africa series titled: Crossing Africa "Chasing Conflict" to be released in 2021.

I hope you enjoy the adventures of Thomas and Sky. When I re-read my book I feel completely exposed. Everything on those pages is close to my heart. It is a perfect reflection of who I am.

I was raised in The United State in the state of Michigan. We lived in a nice suburb, but nearly every weekend we would take the drive “Up North” to the forests, lakes and rivers for two days of fun and adventure. I was raised on physical adventures, and still seek them out today.

I moved to San Diego, California where I had a small sailboat rental business. I loved every moment of it, but at the end of most days, we would raid the till, buy sandwiches and drinks, and sail through the setting sun. I never made any money there, but did make some of my greatest memories.

I taught myself 3D Animation and ended up working as a senior 3D artist for SONY, working on multiple PlayStation video game titles for nearly 10 years. After that creative high tech career, I needed something more “high touch” so I followed my passion to the small mountains outside San Diego, CA and built a boutique winery where I grew grapes and made wine for several years.

Mountain life was fantastic but I needed to get back to the sea, so I headed down to Florida along the Atlantic coast and lived a more tropical lifestyle. That is where I started writing. Now I’m back in San Diego, CA with perfect weather, close to the ocean and writing full time.
