Jean Judd

Jean M. Judd was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and has lived since 1991 in rural Wisconsin. She is an award winning textile artist creating one of a kind art quilts and textile wall art for collectors, museums, galleries, and exhibitions. She uses commercial, hand dyed, and dye painted textiles with rust pigmentation and intricate hand stitching to create these dynamic pieces. Each piece is enhanced with the dense threadwork done with a one-inch needle. The visual and physical texture creates shadowing and light play across the artwork. She exhibits her artwork in fine art exhibitions across the United States and has artwork in private collections in the USA, Canada, South America, and Europe.

Ms. Judd has written many articles for magazines and guest blogs and has turned to feature book writing about her journey as an artist and traveling in the wilderness of Canada. She has shared her experience with the effects of dementia on her family as well in a personal book project.
