Averie Sunshine began blogging at www.averiecooks.com in 2009 as a way to share her recipes. Her blog, Averie Cooks, showcases a variety of recipes from decadent sweets and tasty treats to healthy snacks and family-friendly meals. She has been named one of the Ten Best Food Bloggers by The Huffington Post. Her work has appeared in Better Homes and Gardens, Martha Stewart's Martha's Circle blog, Gourmet Live, The Today Show, Glamour, InStyle Magazine and more. Her first cookbook, Peanut Butter Comfort, was released June 2013 and her second cookbook, Cooking With Pumpkin, will be released fall 2014. She is a writer and photographer, snapping artfully inspired photos of the food and people around her. She lives in San Diego, California. When she's not in the kitchen, behind the camera, or being a mom, she loves to stay active and can be found running or doing yoga.
