Mark Cummuta

Mark Cummuta is a strategic executive consultant for Serco NA, supporting the US Department of Defense. He is also a Board member for Hiring for Hope (which merged with JobAngels, where Mark was CIO).

Mr.Cummuta has over 30 years total experience in IT, and has led award-winning product development and consulting services teams as CIO/CTO & VP with full P&L authority for over 15 years, and his own CIO Advisory Services firm since 2003. Mr.Cummuta is also a speaker and author on CIO & startup strategies, ITSM/ITIL and BPM, Lean Six Sigma, social media, data warehousing, and executive search. After serving our country as a US Marine, he graduated from Elmhurst College, and now holds a dual MBA from Loyola University of Chicago, has studied law for Intellectual Property Protection at DePaul University of Chicago, and is named on several technical patents. He was named on several "Top CIOs" on Social Media and Twitter lists in 2010 and 2011.

Prior to co-authoring this book with April M. Williams, Mark Stelzner and others, Mark wrote for CIO Magazine on CIO/CTO and technology executive job search strategies. He has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, CIO Magazine, Aberdeen Research, NetworkWorld, Crains Chicago Business, and more. Mr.Cummuta is a strong advocate for military personnel transitioning back into the civilian workforce, and has volunteered for JobAngels, Marines 4 Life, Wounded Warriors, and more.

Mr.Cummuta and his wife have been married for almost 25 years, and have triplets ... all in college!
