Hal King is a public health scientist and an advocate for the prevention of unnecessary human disease through business innovation. Hal has worked in the field of public health within the government as an officer in the United States Public Health Service (USPHS, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)), as an assistant professor in academia (Emory University School of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases), as an officer in the Military (United States Army Reserves, Consequence Management Unit) and as a food safety business leader in industry (Chick-fil-A Inc.). Hal was awarded both the National Center for Infectious Diseases Achievement Medal and the CDC Commendation Medal while at CDC.
