Now that she is retired Ros has found the process of writing utterly compelling as she has the time to research and write in this genre. Other ideas are coming fast now, too. She does NOT want to fester, wearing purple with a red hat and running her stick along the railing,in her retirement, as in the well know Jenny Joseph poem!
Ros was encouraged by her mother, a published author with several books to her credit, to write a novel. Having worked as a headteacher for many years, writing papers and essays to further her qualifications as well as stories to which young children would enjoy listening, Ros has completed works of adult fiction as she was urged to do.
She lived in France for ten years with her husband and dogs. Whilst this is a great inspiration for ideas there will be none of the denigration and stereo-typing seen in some other novels! However there are clearly a few very 'interesting' people to write about among both cultures.
She has two daughters and four grand-daughters who also find Ros's work heartwarming and a good read. When not writing, Ros likes to go ballroom and Latin dancing.
