Born in Northampton, UK I moved to rural Lincolnshire when eight where I grew up and raised a family. I spent several months in Central America visiting Mayan ruins and sites devastated by earthquakes and huricanes.
From a very early age I had a belief that there was something important ahead, something I needed to do but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I had a strong sense of knowing things about people, but it was Janice, my Mother in Law who introduced me to Spiritualism. I got involved in a local Spiritualist Church and we also had a circle or meditating group. It was at these early sittings that I had a series of premonitions and visions The most bazaar and disturbing of these was on the evening of 16th January 1995 when I had a vision of the Kobe earthquake in Japan. I didn't know what it was at the time, I saw a scene of devastation with modern skyscrapers on fire. The vision I saw in meditation was the exact one I was too see on the TV screens the following morning. The actual earthquake took place at 5:46am on the 17th January (Japanese time) but when you take into account time zones, I saw this event as it was happening. I also had premonitions about a refinery fire in Colombo, a mining accident in Russia, and a boat sinking in Malaysia. Closer to home- in a dream I saw my work place closed down, this prompted me to change jobs, my vision was to be realised seven months later.
I never thought myself as a natural writer but it was one of my better school subjects, but my spelling was awful, some say it still is, but being a deep thinker I often felt there was a part of me I just couldn't express in spoken works. But I strongly beleived I had a message for people and needed to find an outlet for this.
I have been repeatedly told by mediums that I would write and go on to do mediumship work but until about 4 years ago that seemed about as likely as going to the Moon.
There is no shortage of paranormal and spiritual books but using a fictional platform to create an adventure story with a spiritual message, although not original, is something unusual, it extends the captive audience beyond the converted. I don't intend to be preachy, my heroes and heroines are not perfect, they are human, and they do what humans normally do. But I have tried to create underlying messages for people and these may challenge established thinking at times.
