Emily Grimm

Emily Dolci Grimm understands the unique challenges and satisfaction of teaching from over a decade of experience in both traditional and alternative educational settings. She currently works as the director of school transformation at Education Direction. Prior to this position, she served as a teacher, coach, and Response to Intervention (RTI) team member at a high school in Maine. While there, she secured grant funding to create and implement the Girls’ Aspirations Program, an alternative education program to meet the needs of at-risk girls in the community.

Emily earned her bachelor’s degree from Haverford College and is currently working towards her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from St. Joseph’s College. She is the coauthor of Collaborative School Improvement: Eight Practices for District-School Partnerships to Transform Teaching and Learning (2012, Harvard Education Press) and her work has been published in Education Week. Emily has presented at several conferences including ASCD’s annual conference, Advancing Improvement in Education, and the New England League of Middle Schools conference.
