Martha C. Lawrence has worked as a book editor, a professional astrologer, and a business writer. Inspired by her own psychic experiences, she began her mystery series featuring Elizabeth Chase, a licensed P.I. and parapsychologist. The first novel in the series, Murder in Scorpio, won her nominations for the Edgar, Agatha, and Anthony awards.
