David Fleming was born in 1971 in Boston, Massachusetts and did most of his growing up in nearby Weston. It's where he went to school, where he learned to ride a bike and throw a baseball (albeit not very far).
He is a dad and husband. He has a younger brother who lives in Los Angeles and a dog named Grace who thinks she’s people. His Pandora stations include 80’s Alternative, Psychobilly, Folk, Speed Metal, Goth, Punk, and Ska. He watches way too much TV but also reads a lot. He is a zombie purist much to his wife’s chagrin. And it’s not because she subscribes to the newer, more flexible zombie mythos, either—she just thinks the whole thing is irrecoverably dorky.
The Saturday Boy is his first novel. It is a Junior Library Guild and Scholastic Book club selection.
