Scott Cameron Smith’s passion has always been real estate, so when he graduated from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) with a degree in psychology, he immediately got his real estate sales license. Smith then went on to graduate from law school where he specialized in real estate law, contract law and negotiation. Soon after graduation Smith became a California licensed real estate broker where he went directly into the real estate profession.
Smith’s education and experience allowed him to become involved in many aspects of residential and commercial real estate from site acquisition and analysis, development costing and project pro formas, to management and leasing. Smith also gained incredible experience in the foreclosure marketplace focusing on the acquisition and sales of REO’s, successfully acquiring and/or negotiating short sales, and valuing, purchasing, redeveloping, and profitably selling distressed properties.
Smith had the opportunity to use his education, experience, and political acumen to effectively negotiate, operate, and manage many residential and commercial real estate properties and/or projects. Smith gained extensive operations, management, and client service experience and eventually became a consultant for several top residential and commercial real estate firms. Smith was able to garner invaluable experience in successfully recruiting, training, and coaching real estate agents in many aspects of the real estate profession including the art of lead generation and business building.
