Walter Williams

When my kids were two I started making up stories at bedtime, ninety-five percent of which were clunkers because I was flat, out of ideas, too tired or all three. But occasionally a story would come along that had light, clicked and would be requested a few nights in a row. It was those stories I wrote down and made into books. As far as illustration, the three books I have done called for a different medium to service each individual story. The Bicycle Garden was done in colored pencil, A Monster for Tea in charcoal pencil and sparse digital color, and with The Birthday Elephant I used charcoal pencil and watercolor. I invite you to visit my website for full images of my books, reviews and other information. www.walterwilliamsbooks.com
