Lisa Matthews

Hello, I'm Lisa Matthews. I was Born in Croydon on 20/11/1968. I have alway's written, mainly as a hobby. I started writing more seriously for children or more to the point, for my childrens entertainment. I am fortunate to have two beautiful daughters. In 1996 I wrote a book called 'Just A Thought.' A book of poetry for children also I have several poems in several books.

'It's Way Past Your Dead Time.' is my first adult themed short novel and was born from my husbands and daughters love of vampires. My husband Russell has over 300 vampire films. Having a love of vampires, and most things gothic as the family seem to, we had a gothic wedding and my daughters were dressed as the 'Brides Of Dracula.' My husband once said; 'If someone gets bitten by a vampire as well as staying young they should stay in the same state they were when they were bitten.' I took this and added my own take on it. If an elderly woman is bitten, she'll stay deaf, toothless and have all sorts of problems.

In'Trina's War.' A character called Janie is premenstrual throughout, so mood swings and chaos ensue.

Just A Thought Too .. Started life in 1996 as Just A Thought. However, I have reworked it, added new poems and dedicated it to my gorgeous grandson Zack. Born in January this year.
