Dave Goodenough

With a B.S in Chemistry and an MBA, Dave spent 24 years in the chemical industry, rising from a lab chemist to an executive-level position. He decided to become an entrepreneur and spent the next sixteen years buying and running several companies, including two franchises and a distributorship.

But music and writing are Dave's true passions, and he plans to spend the rest of his working days writing books and songs, with an occasional fill-in as a musician or vocalist when invited to do so. Dave co-wrote a book with multiple Grammy and CMA award winner Larry Butler on what it takes to make it in the music industry entitled "Just For The Record". The Foreword is by Kenny Rogers. BJ Thomas sent Dave this quote:

"David, the book is tremendous. I enjoyed the book so much. Great job my friend. BJ."

For those who may be too young to know, BJ Thomas is a 5-time Grammy winner, whose hit songs included "I'm so lonesome I could cry", "Hooked On a Feeling", "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head" and Larry Butler's Grammy-winning song, "(Hey, Won't You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song".

Dave is now working on a series of books for young readers entitled "The Adventures of Billy Butler". The first book in the series is planned for release in Spring 2013, with a second book in Fall 2013 and a third in Spring 2014.

For pure enjoyment Dave loves playing his Hammond B-3, as well as his Martin acoustic hollowbody, Fender Strat and PRS 20th anniversary McCarty hollowbody electric guitar. His favorite musical moments are the times he has spent jamming with Peter Stroud, a great friend and the lead guitarist for Sheryl Crow. How sweet it is!
