Shane O'Hanlon

Shane O'Hanlon is a Consultant Geriatrician at St Vincent's University Hospital, Dublin, Ireland. He is also Clinical Professor at University College Dublin. He holds degrees in medicine, law and health informatics. He was Honorary Secretary of the British Geriatrics Society from 2016-2018. His areas of interest include geriatric oncology, surgical liaison, medical law, informatics, patient safety and rehabilitation.

Shane is a strong supporter of person-centred care and believes that textbooks should be accessible to patients and their family members as well as health professionals.
