Tom Hobson

Tom Hobson lives in Belleville, Illinois, a suburb of St Louis. He is a retired Presbyterian pastor. He has served churches in Iowa, Missouri, and Illinois. He has served churches in Iowa, Missouri, and Illinois. He holds degrees from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis (Ph. D. in Biblical exegesis). He was Chair of the Biblical Studies Department at Morthland College, West Frankfort, Illinois and broadcast two years of "Biblical Words and World" on KUTR-AM in Salt Lake City. Along with What’s on God’s Sin List for Today? and Fun With Biblical Words, he has also published The Historical Jesus and the Historical Joseph Smith, “Aselgeia in Mark 7:22” (Filologia Neotestamentaria), and 110 posts on his Patheos blog "Biblical Words and World."
