Michael Murphy

Born in 1966 in Wisconsin, Michael P. Murphy was afflicted with two serious disabilities: muscular dystrophy and a strong aversion to reality. Although there was nothing he could do about the former, he was able to deal with the latter by developing a lifelong obsession with science-fiction. With an imagination fueled by tales of adventures on distant worlds, mythical warriors, and two-fisted soldiers of fortune, writing seemed like the best avenue to try to make a living.
