Jayne Bartlett

Dr Jayne Bartlett is among the first cohort of Talented Leaders and has worked in education for over 20 years with over 15 years in senior leadership. Her role has been in the strategic development of curriculum with specific focus on school improvement. Jayne worked as a headteacher for over 5 years taking on a school in special measures and in 24 months transforming it to outstanding leadership and management, outstanding behaviour and attitudes, outstanding personal development and good for quality of education and more recently as a regional executive leader. She has successfully worked with teachers across a range of subject specialisms and in very different educational contexts to develop their individual teaching performance and outcomes and with heads of department to develop their leadership and management skills.

Jayne was state school educated and attended the University of Oxford gaining scholarships and a first class degree and with a love for education continued to complete her D.Phil. After a short spell in investment banking Jayne entered the teaching profession as part of the governments Fast Track Programme, completing her PGCE and working to transform schools facing challenging circumstances. In her own teaching career Jayne has since worked in a wide range of school contexts but her passion lies in school improvement and in supporting staff to become outstanding facilitators of learning. She has a passion for mathematics and a love for learning and believes that anyone can learn mathematics given the best learning experience and she enjoys supporting teachers in opening these doors and in becoming outstanding facilitators of mathematics.

Jayne is an education consultant in the Midlands and has been described as an inspirational educator and trainer.
