Raśl Coronado

Raśl Coronado is associate professor of Ethnic Studies at the University of California at Berkeley where he teaches and researches the comparative history of writing in the colonial and 19th century Americas; Latina/o intellectual & literary history; theories of modernity & postcolonialism; and histories of sexuality & of the academic disciplines. He was formerly associate professor of English at the University of Chicago. A native of Dallas, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Modern Thought and Literature from Stanford University. He is the author of A World Not to Come: A History of Latino Writing and Print Culture (Harvard UP 2013).
