Mary Campbell

Greetings Fellow English Learning Advocates! I am a former ESL teacher from Charlotte, NC with 8 years of teaching experience working with ELs from Kindergarten through 12th grade as well as adults. I received my Masters in the Art of Teaching ELs from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I also earned my National Boards certificate while teaching. I have earned various grants and awards to recognize my contribution to the field of supporting ELs. I am currently pursuing my doctorate at Florida State University in Reading with an anticipated graduation date of May 2023. I have a lifelong passion to recognize and celebrate the greatness that ELs bring to the American education system. My current research aims to better understand how to support ELs in reading through interventions.
