Mark Arey

Mark has spent most of his life engaging his mind with the poetic depths of things divine. It has led him on a journey filled with liturgical service to others, rich narratives, and an intense seeking after “meaning that quickens.” This quest includes over 30 years as an ordained Greek Orthodox priest, until he resigned from ministry in 2013 and married the love of his life. His love of wisdom – philosophy, biblical Greek, the art of translation, and story-telling remain undiminished.

These days he spends his time in the high desert breathing clean air, enjoying small town life, and answering the call of the sun-drenched mountain.
