Kim Erwin

Kim Erwin is a professor of communication at the IIT Institute of Design in Chicago, where she focuses on the information-intensive aspects of the innovation process. Born in New York City, she has spent most of her life in Chicago, studying philosophy as an undergraduate and design at the graduate level. Five years on the editorial staff of a national magazine convinced her many good organizations and ideas were suffering from a kind of communication deficit disorder, and the world was a poorer place because of it. She's spent most of her life bridging important ideas to people who need them, and has brought her communication thinking to startups, non-profits and Fortune 500 firms.
