Dee Dee Raap

Dee Dee Raap is an author and speaker who knows firsthand the incredible pain of sudden death. She lost her 62 year old mom to a heart attack just before Christmas. Letters she wrote nine years later became her first book, Dear Mom: Remembering, Celebrating, Healing. Dee Dee has shared her story in presentations to thousands of women--and men--to help them find the gifts of their mom in her words, actions and traditions, a process outlined in her second book, Find Your Pink Flamingos.

Why flamingos? Her mother's flock of plastic pink flamingos on the prairie farm in the 60s embarrassed Dee Dee as a child. Now she sees them as evidence of her mother's values of creativity and sense of humor, and hopes her daughters see her own flock the same way!

Dee Dee's books have been featured in media throughout the Midwest and on national blogs and radio programs. To learn more about Dee Dee and her presentations, please go to www.DeeDeeRaap.com.
