Donna Miesbach

Donna Miesbach is an award-winning inspirational poet and author. She received the 2013 Silver Nautilus Award for her book, "From Grief to Joy, A Journey Back to Life & Living." She was named "Inspirational Poet of the Year" by "The Poet Magazine" in 1985, and received their Editor's Choice Award in 1990. Her inspirational poems and articles have circled the globe through such venues as "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul II," the "Cup of Comfort Book Series," "Ideals Magazine," "Daily Word," "Unity Magazine," and "Contemplative Journal." She published "Gleanings, A Bi-Monthly Discussion of Life Issues" for ten years before taking it online through her web site. The purpose of that publication was to encourage and uplift her readers.

Donna's most recent book, "From Grief to Joy, A Journey Back to Life & Living," was written after the sudden loss of her husband and both parents in a short space of time. As she worked through her losses, she found it is still possible to have a happy, meaningful life, even after great loss. This, then, is the message of her book.

Her poetry collections include "Trails of Stardust, Poems of Inspiration & Insight," and "A Few Spontaneous Poems."

Donna co-authors all of Playmakers' books with Greg "Coach Roz Roeszler." To date, this includes "Coaching for a Bigger Win, A Playbook for Coaches," "Coaching Character and Leadership, A Playbook for Parents," and "Beyond Coaching, Building Character and Leadership." - "Never Ending Season, The Playmakers Story," is expected to be available in 2022.

Donna coordinated the Omaha Playmakers Chapter for ten years until her retirement from that position in 2017.

Donna was a guest author in "Wise Women Speak, 20 Ways to Turn Stumbling Blocks Into Stepping Stones."

Her program, "Tools for Teens, A Course in Life Skills for People on the Growing Edge," was endorsed by the Chopra Center.

For five years, Donna was a regular contributor to www.OpenToHope.com and www.YourTribute.com, venues specifically geared to those who are working through the loss of a loved one.

Donna is a Chopra Center Certified Meditation and Yoga Instructor, having studied with Dr. Deepak Chopra since 1995. She has also studied extensively with Dr. David Simon, Dr. David Morehouse, Jonathan Goldman, Roger Gabriel, and Dr. David Hawkins.

Donna teaches in the Omaha NE area, offering private and group instruction.
