John Longeway's lifelong love of speculative fiction began with watching Star Trek, The Wizard of Oz, and Doctor Who as a young lad, each of which permanently warped his tender brain.

Further damage was done the summer of his 10th year when he chose The Exorcist and The Amityville Horror as light summer bed-time reading, creating a fascination with spirits and the occult.

John Longeway credits his comfort in handling topics such as madness and obsession to his family of origin, who are the strangest group of people you are ever likely to meet. He sadly admits that he is likely the weirdest of the lot.

John Longeway's writing reflects his dual Gemini nature: some stories are lighthearted and fun while others are dark and terrifying. He is hopeful his readers can tell the difference.
