Bryce Westervelt

Bryce Westervelt's Pomodoro Penguin series of children's books combine are a mix of snappy rhyme, bright illustrations, and fun lessons for children. These books are perfect as read-along books for younger children or early readers for the beginning reader in your life.

The well-traveled Westervelt, who currently lives on Long Island in New York, is not just a writer of children's literature, but is also a classically trained singer - having performed more than 50 major concert works in 100's of performances across the United States. In 2012, Westervelt released a critically acclaimed debut recording of Franz Schubert's Die schöne Müllerin with pianist R. Timothy McReynolds which is available on Amazon.com, Amazon mp3, and iTunes.

As a singer who deals with performing works in verse, Westervelt's approaches his writing in the same way a songwriter would musical lyrics - by trying to find lilting rhythms that are easy for parents to follow and that children will enjoy.
