Joy Trachsel

In March of 2010 Joy’s life became unrecognizable. She was living a very comfortable existence in the suburbs of Akron, Ohio. Driving a mini-van, sitting endless hours at a ball field, volunteering for the PTO and even having the white picket fence were all a part of her life. In a journey that only God could orchestrate, she found herself working in a homeless shelter for women and children. What was once an exit off of the highway that she ignored, was now the entrance ramp to poverty she did not know existed. Her eyes were not just opened to women in crisis but to women who desperately needed Jesus. Joy loves sharing her journey with women and encouraging them to be stretched and used by God in a way that only He can through humor and biblical truths. She has been speaking for 10 years both nationally and internationally to groups of all sizes and is willing to craft a message to fit any type of setting. Joy lives in Twinsburg, Ohio with her husband and four children. She is an advocate for Compassion International.
