Hello and welcome to my author page. I'm Susan Jones, the Warwickshire author, along with Shakespeare and George Eliot and Rosie Goodwin, so I'm in great company.
I've been writing all my life, from poetry, short stories, and articles. I've written everything, especially diary entries, over the years. I soon realised that I prefer to write a longer story, and often if I like the characters, they go into another story. Hard to let go of, like old friends.
I have had 5 pocket novels published with My Weekly and they are also available from the library and all good book shops. Now I've joined the Society of Authors as they help with technical questions or things we might need to know in the publishing world. Like how to use my own isbn numbers, and publish under my own imprint of Palm Tree Publishing, to get to a wider audience. That's the plan, so if you read and enjoy any of my books, please spread the word.
My grandma was a writer, always working on another book. She was a great influence, and taught me to keep going no matter what, if it's what you really want to do. Also grandad on mom's side helped me learn to read and write. My writing style is different and quirky, a bit like me! Mostly I write romantic drama, with humour in there sometimes.
Pride of Paradise Lane, using pen name, Lydia King, is my latest book. It's a great midland saga and you'll see it listed here, or if you're a keen library goer, like me, ask for it there.
I'm a full time writer, publishing my work under the Palm Tree Publishing house, and look forward to bringing you more stories and books to enjoy. Next will be a short story collection, The House Sitters & other stories. Also working on a Christmas themed book set in Norfolk.
If you like any of my stories, it would be great if you could leave a short review please, on Amazon or my website, or just let me know. Thank you.
Happy reading.
Suzy xx
