Paul Botte

Paul W. Botte, CFP® is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, providing investment and financial services to individuals and businesses in San Diego and the surrounding area since 1984. As an independent financial advisor registered with LPL Financial, Paul is deeply committed to ethically guiding his clients through every step of their financial journey. He believes the most critical aspect of developing long-term client relationships is the ability to demonstrate a commitment to always doing what is best for his clients and always providing an honest and objective opinion.

Paul is a strong advocate of education, both for himself and his clients. He attends multiple continuing education seminars, workshops and other training sessions each year to bring his clients deeper insight on industry trends, new strategies and regulatory developments.He obtained a B.S. degree in Finance from San Diego State University and began his financial services career in the corporate accounting department of a national real estate development company. In December 1984, he completed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ course work and examination series. Following two years of experience, he was awarded the CFP® designation by the College for Financial Planning in September 1986. He is registered with FINRA as a general securities representative of LPL Financial. He holds a California Lifeand Disability Insurance sales license, and is a California Registered Tax Preparer. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association.

Born in San Diego, California, Paul places great importance on giving back to the community. He currently resides on the YMCA of San Diego County Gift Planned Advisory Council, the Grossmont Cuyamaca Community College District Citizens Bond Oversight Committee and serves on the board of the Foundation for Grossmont & Cuyamaca colleges. He is a past board member of the La Mesa Chamber of Commerce, past board member of La Mesa Kiwanis, past president of Toastmasters Club, and past board member of East County YMCA.

Paul is married to his high school sweetheart, Mary. They have three children, Tori, Christina and Nick. Besides enjoying various activities with his children, Paul’s hobbies include cooking and gardening.
