Abby Jackson is the author of Naked Hope. She is a charge nurse, serving the elderly and poor at the same inner-city hospital in which her parents fell in love and she was born. When she is not writing or working at the hospital, she and her husband enjoy good coffee, new recipes, long road trips, and exploring the coast of Lake Michigan. After spending four years studying nursing at Indiana Wesleyan University, she moved back to Grand Rapids to begin her career.
She is married to Tyler, a film-maker and producer. He uses cinematic story-telling for corporate advertising, non-profit documenting, and beyond.
Abby is currently enrolled at Loyola University Chicago pursuing her master's degree as a nurse practitioner.
The stories she writes are about about life, disappointment, crisis, and resilience. stories that transcend sickness and health, hospitals and disease, it's the story of us. Of humanity exposed: an honest look at who we are without all the trappings that we layer on to hide our mess. Stories that inspire courage to face our brokenness and find healing.
