Jan Caston

Jan Caston is a writer/producer for www.nelsonnutmegpictures.com, makers of the family entertainment film Who Killed Nelson Nutmeg? (2015). She wrote the children's book, Who Needs Friends, Nelson Nutmeg? to introduce the characters to the film (2015).

She has won and been shortlisted for numerous awards including the Windsor Fringe Kenneth Branagh Award for New Writing (2011).

In 2013 she wrote the autobiography, The Year When Even The Dog Got Cancer. All profits from the book go to cancer charities. The book follows one year in which her husband, mother, best friend and even the family dog were treated for cancer and offers comfort and hope to others who find themselves living with cancer. It has sold into fifteen countries and has been widely acclaimed.

Jan lives on Jersey, Channel Islands with her black dog, Bonnie. They can be frequently found walking the cliff paths before going down to a beach cafe for a sausage sandwich and a cup of tea.
