Lee Heinrich

Lee Heinrich has been quilting and sewing since 2008, and writing about it on her blog Freshly Pieced (www.freshlypieced.com) since 2010.

Lee's work has been featured in Quiltmaker magazine, Fons & Porter's Easy Quilts, QUILT magazine, Fat Quarterly e-zine, the Moda Bake Shop, and many more.

Lee began her career as a news reporter, editor, and publications manager. She later made the switch from the editorial side to graphic design. After designing everything from newsletters to logos to wedding invitations, she quit work to stay home with her oldest daughter. It was around that time that she got a hand-me-down avocado-green Kenmore sewing machine from her mom and her sewing obsession began.

Lee lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with her husband and two daughters.
