H. E. Fairbanks

Author of CENTAUR, the enormously popular and soon to be highly acclaimed suspense novel, h.e. Fairbanks is a former medical editor and current member of Pikes Peak Writers. She spends one third of her day writing, one third researching, another third worrying about attracting the attention of federal authorities because of research about explosives, poisons, firearms, murder, mayhem, kidnapping, projectiles, explosives, toxins, poisons and other implements of destruction in addition to basic facts about, well, federal authorities. "It's for the novels," she swears. The last third of her day (how many thirds was that?) she spends tending her tiny bonsai forest and diminutive family in beautiful Southern Colorado.

Ms. Fairbanks has been writing and editing for twenty-five years. She has written fiction and nonfiction, columns, short stories, commentaries and poetry, as well as a comic strip. As a professional artist, she designs and paints the haunting covers of her own novels, collaborating with expert layout artists to achieve an iconic style suiting the suspense genre.

CENTAUR is the first novel in the Sterling Suspense series. The second, WILLOW'S BABY, was published May 29, 2013 and is on shelves now. Ms. Fairbanks is currently working on the third book in the Sterling series, BUTTONED DOWN, with an estimated release date of early 2014.
