Charles Taylor

Charles Lavalle's beginnings in Cleveland, Ohio, have seen him go from auto worker, to food warehouse security supervisor, to an advanced degree and writing instruction at a major university. He and his wife, an award-winning author of children's literature, have lived and worked in Ann Arbor, Michigan, for more than two decades. Lavalle has written several screenplays in addition to completing Dark Rhythm and beginning work on a second novel. Couples often figure as the main characters in his work, navigating through shared personal conflicts while striving against deadly threats from the outside.
