Galen E. Cole

Hello, I’m Dr Galen Cole. I’m a licensed counselor and board certified psychotherapist. These designations are nice, however, I understand that when it comes to dealing with the difficult problems individuals, couples and families are struggling with in our increasingly complex society, it requires much more than a license to provide effective guidance and support.

I have considerable experience practicing what I teach, including working on staff and as a consultant at numerous clinics, hospitals, and community-based organizations; consulting in Hollywood on a number of popular television programs; serving as the executive director of a not-for-profit foundation; working as an assistant director of public health in the second largest county in the U.S.; consulting for prominent international organizations like China Centers for Disease Control, the World Health Organization (WHO), the Navajo Nation, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), the World Bank, and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF); and working as a research psychologist and director of research and evaluation activities in various centers, institutes, and offices at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia.
