Edward Ryan - I've made my living through communication, in both the spoken and written word. I'm also an avid reader. It's not unusual for me to read two or three books a week. Thank goodness for Kindle, as the used book collection in my house was rapidly approaching un-sustainable levels. My beautiful wife tells me that I don't savor my books enough. Perhaps that's true. Some of my own favorite authors are Clive Cussler, John Locke, Robert Macomber (the Honor Series), Jessie Crockett (Live Free or Die-Granite State Mystery), Don Argo (Canaveral Light), James Patterson and Patrick Smith. So now I've turned my "gift of gab," into a habit of wordsmithing a plot. I am a big history buff, so naturally my first attempt at fiction was built loosely on the framework of my own life. I thought "Reach" was an important story that needed to be expressed. In today's world, we so often fail to connect with our roots. It's my sincere hope that "Reach" will inspire the reader to pause from their busy life, and give thought to the lives that laid the foundation of their own existence. For every person there is a story to be told.
