Robert Pritchard

About the Author.

Robert Pritchard was born in Northern Ireland, the land of ghosts and spectres. Still fifteen when he joined the Royal Air Force where he trained as an Aircraft Engine Technician then later qualified on Missiles and finally flew as a Flight Engineer.

Sports - RAF & ISBA junior Light Welter Weight Champion 1955. He won his Colours for Boxing, Swimming and Athletics at RAF Cosford. He also qualified as a Marksman during that time.

RAF & ISBA Senior Light Middle Weight Champion 1958.

Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Light Middle Weight Champion 1960.

RAF Flight Engineer – Operated on the Blackburn Beverley and C130 Hercules.

Bobby left the RAF after serving 15 years to fly as a Flight Engineer for major airlines in South Africa, Mauritius and Europe. He flew with the C130 Hercules, Boeing 727, Airbus A300, Boeing 707 and the Boeing 747 Jumbo series over a period of 32 years.

His first short story was published by the South African magazine ‘Fair Lady’ in 1970. Of course we must not forget to mention his interest in the Afterlife etc....for many years.

Now retired and living with his wife in Bangor, Northern Ireland.
