Randall Gray Cook

Randall Gray Cook (1945- ) is a member of those who followed The Greatest Generation, The Baby Boomers. In 2011 he published his first book, "Blue Water, Brown Water: Stories of Life in the Navy and in Vietnam," an exercise designed to purge the remaining anger he held toward that period. During the process, however, he began to enjoy the story-telling and ended up writing a mini-history of the critical period 1968-1971; critical for both himself and the country. The book was well-received, as one comment kept recurring in the Amazon reviews as well as in personal encounters with readers: that it felt as if we were having a personal conversation, and that made

the reading flow and the experience more enjoyable and understandable.

In the ensuing couple of years it became apparent to the author that the formula he used in this first book could have a much wider application, to tell the story of one Baby Boomer from day 1 to almost the last day. The project got out of hand, and resulted in his second book, "When We Were Younger and Cuter: My life as a Baby Boomer, Part One." It is now published, and is the prequel to the first book. Eventually there will be a third, and last, volume added to the trilogy, the sequel to these books. One mini-history of one Baby Boomer, out of 77,000,000 kids. I believe that the trilogy is like no other story done about us. Enjoy.
