Armond Ray Erickson

Don't look for Armond's academic degree "letters" signifying "classroom genius". There wasn't any, so there aren't any. Some authors have been capable of accumulating a load of "letters" which they proudly display at the rear-end of their names, like PhD--Doctor of Philosophy; or DD--Doctor of Divinity; and many other ambiguous designations, like BA and BS, which they "Pile higher and Deeper". It isn't one's educational level that matters, but what one does with it.

JOHN 7:14-15

7:14 Now about the midst of the Feast, Jesus went up into the Temple, and taught.

7:15 And the [excessively "educated"] Jews marvelled, saying, How knows this man "letters" [the requirements for academic "credentials"], having never learned?

MATTHEW 7:28-29

7:28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine;

7:29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the Scribes ["officialized" writers of religious material, who often didn't comprehend what they were "writing"].

The length of the "tail" of "self-honorizing letters" after an author's name does not determine the value of his writings. The readers of those writings must determine the personal value they have, for themselves.
