Janet Cincotta acquired a passion for deep snow as a child growing up in Western New York. She earned a B.S. in medical technology from The University of Vermont, and her M.D. at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, N.Y. She occupies an empty nest in south central Pennsylvania.
